Just things that have shown up over the last couple of weeks. Tucker taught the kids the Pigpen Cypher in the car coming back from D.C. and Béla played with it for a few days.
After seeing the Martha Graham Cracker All-Access show, Claudia became very interested in ASL. I remembered the book I’d had as a kid, called Handtalk, which was very Seventies in style and was a book I really loved. I don’t think it showed up in clearing out my dad’s place, so I found an old library copy on Amazon. (The first time the book had been checked out was in May of 1975. The kids were astounded.)
Not satisfied just learning the signs with her hands, Claudia drew out the alphabet. I think Claudia processes a lot of things through drawing, and I need to remember to encourage it.
That “X” and “Y” are killing me. (I also like how the nail polish apparently chipped off this person’s hand before they got to the end of the alphabet.)
