Our friend Janet has been my partner in making Parade of Spirits, Liberty Lands (formerly Krampuslauf Philadelphia) happen since 2011. She has been part of Vermont’s Bread and Puppet Theatre for much longer than that.

When Bread and Puppet come to Philly in their big bus, they often sleep at Janet’s house. That was the case in 2012, when they did a show in Liberty Lands, in which local kids could participate.

When founder Peter Schumann saw this 2014 photo of Claudia at his exhibition “The Shatterer”, we heard he liked it very much.

And so when we heard Bread and Puppet were going to be here this weekend, we asked Janet if we might have some behind-the scenes time before their production of FAUST 3.

The show was PACKED and SOLD OUT and Tuck and I left early and did not see the actual show. And Claudia only managed to sketch THIS MUCH of it for us!
