climate change school walk-out

We “walked out” in the sense that Meg came by in a Lyft and we got in. Up at Dilworth Plaza, we ran into two School of Rock kids, and a kid they knew from LARPing/Fringe Festival, so B and C were convinced they were at a legitimate happening.

They had watched Greta Thunberg’s TED Talk the night before, and had done a great job working together on their sign. Admirers took photos of it.

In fact, one person who photographed the kids and their sign was councilwoman Helen Gym, but I forgot to photograph her. We were pretty tired by then.

Claudia now responds with similar anxiety to the words “climate change” that she does to the word “moth”, but she can decide how much she wants to be the change she wishes to see in the world. Béla is more clinical towards all of it; bad news is as interesting as good news, to him.

It was an event!
