This big jump in independence and initiating one’s own activities without having everything suggested/planned —
Wow. I could get used to it.
Today they got onto the camp activities they wanted, did Latin or music lessons, and Béla learned to use a resistor in electronics. We ate dinner all together and talked for about two hours! Most of us went for a walk (Claudia couldn’t find her mask, and would not use a substitute) and now they have come down for the cat, as they head upstairs together for writing and doing origami. (They has a totally screen-free day, other than when they were interacting with actual humans onscreen.)
They can be such great company.
